ROLE OVERVIEW
Full Circle Brew Co. is opening an exciting new city centre bar and restaurant in Newcastle. As Bar Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of this premium venue, delivering a level of service that’s polished, attentive, and consistently exceptional. This is a hands-on role with real scope to shape the bar’s identity from the ground up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Own the full operation of the bar: staffing, service standards, cleanliness, compliance, and profitability.
● Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing front-of-house team.
● Set and maintain exceptional service standards befitting a premium city centre venue — presentation, tone, pace, and attention to detail must be consistently first-class.
● Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships in line with budgets agreed with the business.
● Oversee all licensing compliance, including Challenge 25, allergen management, and health & safety procedures.
● Control labour costs and rotas, ensuring appropriate cover across all trading periods.
● Work closely with Full Circle's marketing team to activate in-venue events, launches, and promotions.
● Drive revenue through upselling, events programming, and maximising covers and dwell time.
● Produce weekly trading reports and flag issues or opportunities to the wider leadership team.
● Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure a seamless food and drink experience; food menus and recipes are developed and provided by our kitchen partner Peckin' Order — your role is to ensure flawless delivery of that offer.
● Be a brand ambassador: you'll be the first point of contact for many of our guests and a face of Full Circle in the city.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
● Proven experience in a bar or restaurant management role.
● An unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service — you understand what a premium guest experience looks like and know how to build a team that delivers it consistently. We are committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience and our team must reflect that.
● A genuine passion for craft beer, and the ability to communicate it to guests of all knowledge levels.
● Strong commercial acumen — comfortable with P&L, margins, and labour cost management.
● Proven ability to hire, train, and retain great people.
● Personal Licence holder (or willingness to obtain one before opening).
