Reporting to: Duty Manager / Bar Manager
Location: Fenwick, Newcastle
Contract: Fixed-Term (2 years), Part-Time or Full-Time considered
Hours: To be agreed, including evenings and weekends
Salary: £13.00–£13.20/hr + tips
Key Responsibilities
• Lead by example across the bar and floor, delivering fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service throughout every session.

• Support the Duty Manager and Bar Manager in running smooth shifts, including briefing the team, managing flow across bar and floor, and resolving issues as they arise.
• Take ownership of stock checks, deliveries, and cellar standards for your section, flagging shortages before they become a problem.
• Oversee floor service during busy periods — seating, table turnaround, and food and drink delivery — so guests are looked after promptly at every stage of their visit.
• Help train new front-of-house staff on product knowledge, service procedures, and company standards.
• Handle guest queries and complaints confidently, using good judgement on what to resolve yourself and what to escalate to the Duty Manager or Bar Manager.
• Ensure your section is clean, well-stocked, safe, and compliant throughout service.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team to coordinate food and drink service, ensuring our food offering is delivered to the same standard as the bar.
• Act as keyholder when required, including opening and closing the venue to agreed standards.
• Support with rota input and shift handovers, keeping the management team informed of anything they need to know.
What We're Looking For
• Previous front-of-house experience across bar and floor, ideally with some exposure to a supervisory or lead role.
• Confident making decisions independently and staying calm under pressure when running a shift solo.
• A high personal standard of presentation and service — you understand what 'premium' looks like in practice.
• A friendly, confident manner with guests and teammates, and the ability to bring a team along with you.
• Enthusiasm for craft beer — you don't need to be an expert, but you should be keen to learn.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working weekends and evenings.
