Job Title: Taproom Manager

Salary: £26,000-£28,000 (subject to experience)

Holidays: 28 days holiday (this includes bank holidays of which some you will be expected to work)

Hours: 40 hours per week

H/O Location: Full Circle Brewing, Hoult Yard, Walker Rd, Newcastle, NE6 2BS

The Opportunity

Full Circle Brewing Launched in late 2019, releasing our first beers in March 2020, We’ve gone from strength to strength, winning 7th best new brewery in the world by RateBeer.com in 2020 and best keg IPA by SIBA national competition with our flagship beer, Looper in 2022. We’ve received many other national awards, most notably the community Engagement Award 2 years in a row at the yearly SIBA Craft Beer Awards at BeerX. Our unique space has our taproom overlook the entire brewery operation from our glass-fronted bar space.  

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Craft Brewery Taproom Manager to oversee the operations of our vibrant taproom, events, and weddings venue. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craft beer, a keen eye for customer service, and a creative mindset to drive revenue growth in our taproom. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of managing day-to-day bar operations, organizing events, and optimizing the taproom experience to enhance our brand presence.

Main Duties:

1. Bar Operations:
2. Supervise and lead a team of bartenders and support staff.
3. Ensure a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
4. Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and monitoring stock levels.
5. Implement and enforce all health and safety regulations.
6. Managing our food offering - Pizza
7. Events and Weddings:
8. Liaise with our Events and Wedding Manager to coordinate, and execute various events, including private functions and weddings.
9. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and attract a diverse customer base.
10. Provide exceptional service to ensure memorable experiences for event attendees.
11. Revenue Growth:
12. Develop and implement strategies to increase taproom revenue.
13. Create and promote special events, promotions, and loyalty programs.
14. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to maximize customer spending.
15. Customer Experience:
16. Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the taproom.
17. Gather and respond to customer feedback to continuously improve services.
18. Train staff on customer service best practices.
19. Administration:
20. Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and other financial transactions.
21. Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators.
22. Oversee the scheduling and management of rotas for all bar staff including holidays.

Qualifications:

·      Personal License

·      A passion for good beer

·      Bar and Cellar management experience

·      Proven experience in bar or restaurant management, preferably in a craft brewery or similar setting.

·      Strong leadership and team management skills.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

·      Creative thinking and ability to generate revenue-generating ideas.

·      Knowledge of craft beer, brewing processes, and industry trends.

·      Familiarity with relevant regulations and licensing requirements.

·      Legal right to work in the UK

Desirable

•            Full, clean UK driving license
